YOUTH CONCEPT INTERNATIONAL (YCI)

Youth concept international is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious youth-led and youth invented organization registered in Ghana. We are committed to solving critical youth problems through education, research, training, and social marketing. Major areas of focus include youth development, Reproductive health education, leadership development and education.

Our Youth Development Programmes are predicated on the understanding that all young people need support, guidance, and opportunities during adolescence, a time of rapid growth and change.  With this support, they can develop self-assurance in the four areas that are key to creating a happy, healthy, and successful life:

·        A sense of competence:  being able to do something well

·        A sense of usefulness:  having something to contribute

·        A sense of belonging:  being part of a community

·        A sense of power:  having control over one's future

YCI requires many services and hopes to find pro-bono partners who understand the vision and are willing to support the cause.

First of all we need INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS(other youth groups around the globe) to share ideas.

Projectors,Sewing Machines,Hair dressing Equipments,Catering Equipments,Computers,Books,Used or new Clothing,Video Camera, and New or Used Cars.

We need a lot of international volunteers to come and help us on our projects,to share ideas and also create a link. Although we do not have any financial support we believe in getting these items we be able to work better and more efficiently,all the same financial support is highly needed.

What Is Positive Youth Development?

Positive youth development is a policy perspective that emphasizes providing services and opportunities to support all young people in developing a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and empowerment. While individual programs can provide youth development activities or services, the youth development approach works best when entire communities, including young people, are involved in creating a continuum of services and opportunities that youth need to grow into happy and healthy adults.

Simply put, youth development is a life process that everyone goes through. The goal of the positive youth development approach is to ensure that all adolescents experience this life stage positively.
